2010 China National Food Industry output will reach CNY 25,000 billion, an average annual growth of about 8%, of which total output value of the food industry in Guangdong Province will reach CNY 260 billion, an average annual growth of about 12%.With China's emphasis on the construction of "four projects" (relieved food, green food, functional food and specialty food project) and "nine bases"(meat processing, convenient foods and functional food , beverage manufacturing, aquatic food processing, processing and storage of fruit and vegetable, seasoning production, sugar refining, baking and sugar products, food additives base) for food industry development, and efforts to promote the modernization and upgrade of the traditional food industry, food machinery and packaging equipment demand will be further expanded.

In order to promote the cultivation and development of a number of internationally renowned brands and the modern food industry enterprise groups, to promote the small and medium-size enterprises to "high, specialized, sophisticated, unique, new" direction for the development. The organizational units of the South China's largest food brand event "China (Guangzhou) International Foodstuff Exhibition" (Abbr. "CIFE"), will curtain-up the special show "2010 China(Guangzhou)Food Machinery & Packaging Exhibition " in May 13th -15th, 2010 at Guangzhou, China Import and Export Fair (Pazhou) Complex, same time and same venue as the 2010 CIFE.

In the past CIFE, Food machinery & packaging equipment and exhibitors accounted for more than 25%.
